fall brunchin' at home with Urban Barn
What are fall weekends for if not for cozy brunches with friends, at home! Even if you aren't the perfect cook. Here are some tips to help you set the perfect table!
Don't be afraid to mix and match your tableware with vintage items you already own. By layering these things together you create a setting that is very personal and welcoming.
Vintage Linens - Warm neutral tones is where its at! Something so simple can create a relaxed setting for brunch. We used a vintage cream runner and mix match of different patterned grey napkins that tie in perfectly with your brunch-ware.
Brunch-ware - The ceramic Kingsley set from Urban Barn added a sophisticated aesthetic, while the ripple effect added texture to the table. The mugs are a great size as well, not too big and not too small. Timeless dishware is always my go to. They work with ever-changing decor styles, or seasonal events.
Florals - Every brunch table needs greenery! We used a combo of potted plants, fresh cut roses and eucalyptus leaves which looked great in our Urban Barn vases. This provided height to the table giving it more dimension. If you look closely we have also mixed in a few artificial flowers from the Urban Barn line ... and when the real ones aren't looking so hot you still have flowers for your vase!
Finishing touches - Although we added the antler centre piece (which is my FAV!!) from Urban Barn first, they bring in an outdoorsy feel to the table, perfect for fall. We used mini white pumpkins as place settings for each guest...also a little something they can take home with them! The vintage brass candle sticks set a soft glow over the table and our bowl of freshly picked apples adds a pop of fall colour!
